DAC7 and marketplace thresholds

Know, marketplace by marketplace, whether your sales of the year will be reported to the tax authority.

The rule

Since 2023, a European directive (DAC7) requires selling platforms to report every year to the tax authority the sellers who:

  • reach 30 sales, or
  • exceed €2,000

over the calendar year. Counts are per marketplace.

Being reported does not mean being taxed

Selling your own used belongings is generally not taxable. The amounts reported may appear in your pre-filled income tax return. Aeon informs you; it does not give tax advice.

Before 31 January, each marketplace sends you a statement of what it reported for the past year.

On Home

The Marketplace reporting card shows up to three marketplaces, closest to a threshold first, with their status and two meters: sales out of 30, amount out of €2,000.

Will be reportedThe marketplace will report your sales of the year.

The detailed page

Finances › Reports › Marketplace thresholds (or search): choose the year, then for each marketplace:

  • the status and the criterion that triggers it (number of sales or amount);
  • the meters, and the share sold from your personal collection (personal belongings, not resale stock);
  • a projection for the current year: “At this pace, 30 sales around…”;
  • the year-to-date total against the threshold;
  • the sales counted, each linked to its sale.

Export (CSV) downloads these figures. What is DAC7? recalls the rule, with a link to the official page on economie.gouv.fr.

When you record a sale

When you get close to a threshold, the sale window shows what the sale changes: “With this sale: 28 sales and €1,240 on Vinted in 2026.” If the sale crosses a threshold, Aeon tells you. The bell lets you know too.

How Aeon counts

  • One sale per parcel: a bundle sold together counts as one transaction.
  • Amount: the price paid for the goods, refunds deducted. A cancelled or fully refunded sale does not count.
  • Sales outside marketplaces (in person, “Other”) are not concerned and are counted apart.
  • Marketplace names are grouped (“Vinted” and “vinted”, “Le bon coin” and “Leboncoin”).

It is an estimate from your recorded sales: the marketplace's own statement is the reference.
