Invoices and credit notes
Issue a sale's invoice as a PDF, and a credit note for a refund. For French micro-entrepreneurs under the VAT franchise.
A business buyer, or a platform, asks you for an invoice? Aeon issues it from the sale, with nothing to retype.
Who is it for?
Invoices are for French micro-entrepreneurs under the VAT franchise (Sole trader status in Account › Business tracking). Aeon does not compute VAT.
1. Your seller identity (once)
In Account › Business tracking › Invoices, fill in:
- your name as it must appear (followed by “EI”, sole trader);
- your address and your SIRET (14 digits);
- an email and a phone, optional;
- the VAT mention: by default “TVA non applicable, art. 293 B du CGI”.
Until the name, address and SIRET are filled in, invoices are not available.
2. Issue an invoice
Open the sale
Sales › Completed sales, the sale's menu › Invoice.
The customer
Customer name and customer address. If The customer is a business, its SIREN (optional). Choose the invoice language.
Check the lines
The sale's items, their quantity, unit price and total. Cancelled lines are left out.
Issue the invoice
It gets the next number, for example F-2026-0001. Download gives the PDF.
An issued invoice is final
It can no longer be changed or deleted: a mistake is corrected with a credit note. Numbering is continuous, per year, with no gap and no reuse.
What the PDF contains
Number and date, sale date, your identity (name + “EI”, address, SIRET, contacts), the customer's, the nature of the operation (delivery of goods), lines and total, the VAT mention, and “Paid” with the platform. For a business customer, the late-payment penalties and the €40 fixed recovery fee are added.
Credit notes
If you refund a sale that already has an invoice, the invoice offers Credit note for the refunds: it covers the refunds not yet credited, or the remaining total if the sale is cancelled. A credit note is numbered A-2026-0001 and names the invoice it corrects.
E-invoicing
From September 2027, invoices between French businesses must be electronic (structured format, through an approved platform). Aeon's PDF suits private buyers, and businesses until then.
